SoA Spring Carnival Pavilion

The 2019 Carnegie Mellon University Spring Carnival Entrance was designed and built by a team of School of Architecture students of all years. The design was a modular 2' square created by a system of bolted 2"x2" wooden pieces. The modules began to aggregate and span 16' over a sidewalk were the public entered the festival. The fabric was stretched across modules tightly, creating a light but solid appearance, as well as providing shade.
